The Sages
The Sages compare the human being to a tree. If a person is wise with the Divine Knowledge and upright, he or she is compared to a fruit tree with three qualities: growing delectable fruit -- these are the Divine Knowledge and good deeds; shade -- these are worldly possessions, used in the right way for creation and sustenance rather than negativity; and planted on the waters -- these are a person's offspring, who learn from example and become similar to the original tree itself. To the extent we can work to express the golden color within ourselves, by working to remove adulteration and character flaws, we connect to that tree of life and become one with it, with all the positive consequences that connection brings. 157x90cm ink and paint on Metal.
