The Hebrew letter Tav (ת) is the last letter of the ancient Hebrew alphabet and the letter with which the world was created, standing for both Torah and Teshuva (a returning to the Divine). It is related that the Holy One looked into the blueprint of the Torah to create the world and then realized that that world could not stand without Teshuva. If we cling with all our might to these concepts, both have the power to break the ice that freezes and deadens our hearts, wakening us and sealing us in the Book of Life for the New Year that begins next week on Rosh Hashana. Mixed media on metal 120x100cm.
