Rosh HaShana is the day on which the human being was created by the One Creator. On this day, by blowing the Shofar, we proclaim with our innermost breath the desire to be as one with Him, to connect to His Torah and His Mitzvot. All of this was actually made possible on Yom Kippur, when we received the Torah and Rosh HaShana a second time after the breaking of the first Tablets. He created a world that was "very good," and by connecting to His Will and returning to Him, we make it very good of our own volition, and out of our own choice. That is the sweetness symbolized by the honey, the Mitzvot symbolized by the pomegranate, and the Torah symbolized by flowers. May we be inscribed in the Book of Life for Good. Wishing everyone a healthy and happy new year filled with joy. Ink and paint on metal. 70x120. To purchase clink on the link in my profile.
